In August 2003, I went on another
GFCI trip to part of
the western north rim of the grand canyon.
I don't post much detail about
the locations of most untrailed trips on the public part of the website. There are two reasons for
this. First, most of these remote areas have multiple particularly
environmentally and archeologically sensitive sites, and I can't be assured that
all readers would treat them with respect. Second, less experienced
people trying to visit these locations could quickly get in over their head.
I've had to rescue people before, as well as watch a couple die. The first is
not fun, the second is, um, really not fun.

NOTICE: The pictures here are currently posted at full resolution for my
friends who were on the trip. Most are around 700k, though some are upwards of
1500k. Don't double-click on pictures if you have a dial-up connection
